Faction Card

Starting 7 January 2017, Faction Cards will make their first appearance in OPTS. To celebrate the occasion, all players will receive a 5* Speed Card (“Dereshishishi!”) in their giftbox from 7 January 15:00.

About Factions

There are 5 factions in OPTS:

  1. Heart (list)
  2. Stamina (list)
  3. Speed (list)
  4. Strength (list)
  5. Wisdom (list)

During an event, a chosen faction would be the Storm Faction for that event. Using characters in the Storm Faction will give you boost in stats, drop rate, and fame points (where applicable). It is a good idea to own at least 2 strong units in each Faction!

About Faction Cards
  • There will be 5 types of Faction Cards, one for each Faction.
  • You cannot equip more than one of the same Faction Card (with the same scene) on one character.
  • Faction Cards will grant stat bonus to the characters of the Faction (e.g. Heart Card equipped on Luffy, who is a Heart character, will boost Luffy’s stats).
  • The stat bonus depends on the combined Faction Level (F-Level) of the Faction Cards equipped. If you have two Heart Cards, each F-Level 5, on a Heart Character (Luffy), you get the F-Level 10 stat bonus:
  • Like skill levels, you can level up the card’s F-Level by fusing matching cards:
  • The maximum F-Level of each Faction Card depends on its rarity, e.g. a 4* Faction card can only go up to F-Level 4. You can evolve your Faction Card to a higher rarity.
  • Faction Cards will be available as Mission rewards during Character Medal Events.
  • Stat Bonus per F-Level:

The tl;dr?

Faction cards are the best equips currently.

Here’s an example showing Sengoku (Vanguard; Speed).

If you replace a Lv100 Fujitora (Vanguard) card with good stats (e.g. +748 HP),

with a Lv80 Faction (Speed) card (F-level 6) with weaker stats (e.g. +540 HP),

you would notice that his stats are noticeably higher with the Faction card equipped (because of the x1.139 bonus).

Sooo…, are those cards better than scene cards at max lvl?

    • Shu says:

Not in raw stats. Some regular scene cards, like Blackbeard, still have better stats. You can see the max stats here easily.

The real strength of faction cards is in the (up to) 1.7x stat bonus though. I’d definitely be using them over regular scene cards once I get enough combined F-levels on them.

Do we know if the faction and type/class cards will be additive or multiplicive?

Its a minot difference but can be really big with cards like blackbeard giving 4% on top of the 17.5% (21.5 vs. 22.2% with those 2 cards.

  2. Glennn says:

What’s the best way to level up faction levels? I only get a lot of XP from the silver cards I got from gacha, any tips?

    • Shu says:

Faction cards are not even in gacha.

You are talking about Type levels. Other than silver cards you can farm unlimited bronze cards in story mode stages if you are patient. They are just 100xp per.

  3. Brr says:

So is it wise to upgrade faction cards with other faction cards as food?

can we fuse already evo’d to gold faction to rainbow faction? cus i couldnt do it

  5. Axel says:

Is there any way to farm evolve materials for faction card? Especially the 6* evolve materials. Replaying the weekly stages seems to be only giving News Coo cards. Thank you.

  6. Kamillo says:

I saw yesterday on Global a character with glowing faction in quest room. He had boosted stats. How is it possible to make the faction symbol glow ?

    Thanks in advance
